DEEO joined ORSA (formally CFCU) to build something rare: a digital experience for a financial institution that centers around compassion, empathy, and community. This project wasn’t just about listing services or pushing promotions. The new site needed to tell a story. One that empowers members by providing access, education, and tools for lasting financial confidence.

It quickly became clear during the early stages of discovery that our strategic approach needed to emphasize values rarely seen in traditional banking. This insight became the foundation for a web experience that felt distinct and reflective of CFCU’s values and purpose.
Our strategic decisions were grounded in empathy and a deep understanding of user needs. We broke from industry norms and focused on creating an experience that prioritized both services and storytelling. This website needed to provide helpful, utility-based content—locations, services, tools—while also telling a deeper story. It is a conduit for building personal connections and establishing trust. From the very first interaction, it creates a sense of belonging, comfort, and credibility, no matter where a user is in their journey.
