Cephable approached DEEO looking to enhance the design and user interface for the onboarding process that introduces users how to use their product app.
THE CHALLENGES
Working within an existing design system, DEEO was tasked with improving the overall user interface found within the onboarding experience.
We had to establish a system with simplified content models while still ensuring users understood where they were in the onboarding process. It was critical to communicate the type of technology users would be interacting with after downloading the Cephable app without overwhelming users with decision overload.
The Solutions
Knowing users needed to quickly understand what type of technology support was available within the app, we opted to introduce a content strategy based on a more visual representation.
We leaned heavily on iconography, design structure, and demo’ing to ensure users of all types and understanding of Assisted Technology could easily start using the Cephable application within a few short steps, with confidence they knew what was happening, and with an understanding of all the various ways Cephable ensure people of all abilities can experience the digital world equally.
